📷Last call for fall photo walk
Today is the last day to get $10 off the Friday, November 14th Capture the Urban Canvas photo walk. It's my last one of 2025, before it gets too cold, dark, and holiday-y to be enjoyable.
We meet at the Chicago Cultural Center at 2pm and do about a 1.5 mile loop through the Loop, photographing public art and iconic architecture with our cell phones, ending at 4 back at the Cultural Center.
THREE SPOTS REMAIN!
If you're too far away for an in-person Chicago tour, stay tuned, as I'm working on an online course! Let me know if you'd be interested in that.

🧊The government is kidnapping Chicagoans
Here's how you can help
On Halloween, ICE and Border Protection agents continued their ripping families apart, on Saturday declined an interfaith group from entering the Broadview detention center to provide religious services, and yesterday kidnapped at least 10 of my neighbors here in Rogers Park.
Here are some ways to help:
Support an impacted Rogers Park family's GoFundMe.
Donate to or volunteer with Care for Real. They are really in need of grocery delivery drivers right now, as more people are afraid to get groceries in person.
Attend an ICE watch training, download Know Your Rights information, donate to Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights (ICIRR).
Read local news and updates at Block Club Chicago (& more in my Google doc). Mass media and cable news are often incorrectly and under reporting what's going on. Diversify your inputs.
I'm updating this Google doc with more ways to help, nearly every day.
